The NORLUG Mascot

The NORLUG mascot is simply too large to display on the entry page for NORLUG, so we will link him here. "Chux" is his name. He was designed by our original VP, Chip Cuccio using GIMP with the help of Larry Ewing's original Linux 2.0 images. They are in 256-color PNG format, available in both transparent, and non-transparent versions;

Credits and Sponsors

We believe in giving credit where credit is due. Listed below are the individuals and organizations NORLUG would like to thank for their contributions:

  • Adam Gurno - President Emeritus (12/2001 - 5/2004)

    The founder and President of NORLUG. Adam took the initiative on his own to form a LUG in Northfield. By posting tiny flyers in the local colleges and library, Adam founded and organized what is NORLUG today.

  • Chip Cuccio - Vice President Emeritus (12/2001 - 5/2004)

    Chip offered much assistance in the beginnings of NORLUG. From drafting the Constitution and By-Laws, to launching the web site and mailing lists - Chip has worked very hard to make the LUG an enjoyable, and organized outfit. He continues to this day to be the webmaster/sysadmin behind the NORLUG Internet services.

  • badbrain computers

    badbrain computers has kindly provided their facilities for our meeting location. We'd also like to thank the Northfield Public Library, the Northfield Hospital, and Northfield United Methodist Church for hosting our meetings in the past.

  • DataPipe Managed Hosting Services

    The existence of our RPM / Yum repositories is due to the kind folks at DataPipe. DataPipe is a Managed Hosting Services provider. They have graciously offered server space, bandwidth, and the mirror of the NORLUG RPM/URPMI/Yum repositories. Hats off to DataPipe!
