About NORLUG

Who are we?

We are the Northfield Linux User Group (NORLUG). We are a group of Technology, Linux and FOSS enthusiasts and advocators from the Northfield, MN area. Our goal is to provide a welcoming environment where people can come and learn from experienced technologists. While Linux and the free and open source software (FOSS) world is our focus, we openly welcome anyone who has a desire to learn about technology of any sort.

What do we do?

Here at NORLUG, we host the Northfield chapter of Coffee House Coders, which is a weekly social hack night. We also organize and host monthly Linux and FOSS focused meetings. Check out our past and upcoming meetings as well as information on Coffee House Coders via the links in the menu.

How do I join?

Membership is free! All that is required is a passion for technology. To keep up to date with us and learn about upcoming events, we encourage you to subscribe to our mailing list, join our Google+ community and follow us on Twitter! You will find the links to all our social channels in the menu.

Website Updates

The NORLUG website has undergone a few improvements to become more mobile, and small screen friendly. All the cards now reposition themselves and resize properly on smaller screens. We have done away with the navigation at the topic and replaced it with a very slick boarder menu which can be opened by clicking/tapping on the icon up on the left. We have also added archive sections for meetings and news, so now it will be easier to find meeting notes or news for events in the past.
